I found Kate through a friend of a friend on Facebook and I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about hiring someone I had never worked with before, but after seeing her work on her social platforms, I decided to take the leap of faith and I am SO GLAD THAT I DID!
If you’re like me and unsure, I am here to tell you to do it! It was a wonderful experience and our photos turned out beautifully. Now, down to the details that made my experience so positive. Kate was:
- [ ] Communicative. She responded to my *many* questions quickly and without judgement. She even sent me samples of work at various locations so that I could pick the photo backdrop that would work best for my family and the look we wanted.
- [ ] Flexible. When the day of our portraits was quickly approaching, I was sad to see RAIN on the forecast. Thankfully, Kate was also monitoring the forecast and reached out to me the day prior for us to create a game plan. We were able to switch our sunset photos to the morning and beat the rain without having to reschedule completely.
- [ ] Warm. Kate may have been a stranger when we parked our car, but within minutes of meeting her, I felt like we had known each other for a long time. She was open and kind when she spoke about her professional and family background. She had a warmth that helped put my *not so photo loving* husband at ease.
- [ ] Prepared. Her website cues you to fill out a short questionnaire after you book and she used that information to provide a personalized experience. She came armed ready with a speaker to blast some tunes in an effort to sneak a smile out of my little man (10 months old at the time). She even brought a cute wicker prop chair for him to pose on. She had a clear game plan of what types of shots she wanted at various locations and was efficient without making the experience feel rushed.
Our session was Kate could have been a complete disaster, but her forward thinking and warm personality saved the day. Between the 100% chance of rain and my young son burning his hand right before we left to take the photos, my husband and I were sure the photos were going to be a disaster and that we would have to either rebook or get new ones done later, but I am so glad we went through with them. The are AMAZING!
Kate is such an artist. She was so patient on a rather fussy day with our toddler. She has a way with kids for sure! I was really amazed at the quality of the photos. She captures so many authentic moments, these aren't your run of the mill family portraits. Highly recommend! Can't wait to work with her again next year (I think it will be a new tradition!)

Everything about my experience with Kate was amazing. Kate has done our family photos two times now and every time we are so thrilled with the final photos. She makes taking the photos fun while making both kids and adults feel relaxed too. Her editing style is warm and looks amazing when printed and displayed your home. We hired Kate to do our newborn pictures. She came to our house and what an experience it was! She is extremely talented, kindhearted, and patient. She really knows how to use the lighting and spaces to get the most out of a photo shoot. The photos came out wonderfully and are hanging on our walls already. We will definitely hire her again as our little family grows. Thank you so much for capturing such a special time in our life. We are truly grateful!

Kate was so amazing to work with and we feel so lucky that she was a part of our special day!! She took so many beautiful candids of our proposal that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. She also helped pose us afterwards for pictures with our family which also turned out absolutely beautiful (despite us joking that we were too awkward for them to turn out good). She was so enthusiastic, easy to work with, and she beautifully captured one of the most special moments of our life, for which we can’t thank her enough!!

Kate is the absolute best at what she does. I’ve done 3 photo shoots with her and wouldn’t use anyone else. With Kate being a mom of three she’s a pro at getting the best shots of your children. She’s taken pictures of my daughter from when she was an infant all the way to toddlerhood. I would 100% recommend!!
Kate did a great job with our fall mini session. She was so easy to work with and got some really great smiles out of our toddler. The photos are all amazing and we look forward to working with her again.
Working with Kate was a joy. She is creative, knowledgeable, easy going, and makes the entire process so much fun. We shot with her on the coldest day of existence at sunrise and we still had the best time. She makes even the most nervous people feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. She delivered the gallery in wonderful timing and you could truly tell she put her all into each photo throughout her editing process. We are so thankful to her for our wonderful photos to capture such an exciting time in our lives. The best! ❤️
Kate was fantastic! We took pics with our little kids and she came prepared. She brought a speaker and played their favorite music to get them comfortable right from the beginning. She was energetic, personable, and you could just tell she cares a great deal about her work. She provided us with well over the expected number of photos, which was fantastic! Would not only highly recommend her, but have already booked another session with her.
